The hike starts at Kathandeini Forest Station and quickly follows the road to the forest before diverting to the trail. This hike is a perfect adventure for everyone looking for the purity of a serene forest and the roar of a waterfall as it hits the floor of a river. The wonders of this hike are also in the log bridge along, and the descent to Kanyamindi Waterfall.

Kathandeini Hydrotherapy Hike Stats

Approximate Time: 10 Hours
Maximum Elevation: 2370m (along the trail)
Difficulty: This hike does not necessarily require hiking experience. It is a moderate hike but requires you to be fit, especially due to its length.
What to Wear During the Hike

- Fleece Marvin/hat or a baseball cap.
- Proper hiking clothes (polyester t-shirt, hiking pants/summit pants, fleece jacket).
- Comfortable & sturdy hiking boots (should be at least one size bigger than your standard shoe size).
- Sunscreen/good layer of arimis.
In Your Backpack, Have

- At least 2 liters of water (use a water bladder or a reusable bottle). Disposable plastic bottles are not allowed inside parks.
- Snacks such as biscuits, nuts, fruits, crisps, etc.
- A hiking pole.
- A balaclava.
- A raincoat/poncho.
- Hand gloves.
