Ticket Definitions


  • East African (EA) Citizen: A native East African country (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo) with valid identification documents or passport.
  • Kenyan Resident: A person of another nationality residing in Kenya, with valid documentation from the Kenyan government.
  • Non-Resident (NR): Hikers other than those from EAC countries and have no proof of residence (Resident ID).

N/B: The park management recognizes the three categories using Identity Cards (IDs) and identification documents issued by the government. Ensure you identify yourself with the card you already hold.

What the Day Trip Ticket Includes


  1. Adequate support before and during the hike with information to get familiar with the destination.
  2. Transport to the trail and back.
  3. Park entry/conservation charges.
  4. Professional and friendly guides (armed rangers or local guides), ensuring at most eight people have one guide.
  5. Assorted fruits or packed lunch to recharge.
  6. Refill water. Carry a refillable bottle. Plastics are not allowed inside parks.
  7. A trip souvenir to remember the place and its discoveries. This is a wristband by default, but we provide badges on request to those who book at least 72 hours to the hike.

What the Expedition Ticket Includes


    • Transport to the trail and back.
    • Park entry charges for citizens and residents.
    • 3-square meal on the mountain. Lunch is mostly packed.
    • Accommodation in tents and sleeping mats/mattresses.
    • Professional and friendly support team when hiking.
    • On-demand support away from hiking trails.
    • A trip souvenir to remember the place and its discoveries. This is a wristband by default, but we provide badges on request to those who book at least 72 hours to the hike.
    • A certificate of achievement on climbing expeditions or where it applies.
    • Porter and cook services where it applies.
    • Ground rescue as it applies.

Our package excludes:

  1. Non-Resident entry fee.
  2. Hiking gear.
  3. Personal insurance/evacuation cover.
  4. Tips for guides and porters.
  5. Anything else not mentioned above.
  6. Meals and drinks outside the host hotel and daily itinerary.
  7. Visas and international airfares.
  8. Laundry on expeditions.
